Craig Charles Lightcap, known to many as “Cap,” of Elkhart, Texas, formerly of Hammond, Indiana, passed away June 30th around noon from complications associated with a motorcycle accident at the age of 63.
Craig will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Pam, their children Michael (Timothy) Walding, Craig (Megan) Lightcap, and Andrea Lightcap, his grandchildren, Makenna, Madison, Caden, & Carter, and his sisters, Margo Flaherty and Cheryl Kemp, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. Craig was preceeded in death by his brother, Douglas Lightcap.
Craig was wild at heart, and his friends and family take comfort in knowing he left this earth with people he cared about, doing what he loved in his great state of Texas.
Craig loved kids and organized several Toys for Tots events, held the title of the Texas state director for the Columbian Squires with the Knights of Columbus, and volunteered with the Special Olympics. Little ones always had an important place in his heart, and his family knows he would love knowing he could help out children one more time.
