Robert Feskorn (July 05, 1931 - November 03, 2022)
Robert (Bob) J. Feskorn, age 91, of Sandusky, MI passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2022. Bob was born July 5, 1931 in Detroit, MI to the late Margaret (Lynd) and Wilbert Feskorn. Growing up in Detroit, he was a champion speed skater in the Michigan Skating Association for Rayl’s Skating Ensemble. He was both an indoor and outdoor record holder and won numerous accolades during his speed skating career. After graduating from Mackenzie High School in Detroit, Bob served in the United States Army. Following his time in the service he met the love of his life, Jeanne (Foster). They were married on May 5, 1956 and raised 6 children together in Warren, MI. Bob was an ambitious business man who ran a successful floor covering business for decades before retiring.
Bob truly lived his life to the fullest. He was a long time resident of New Baltimore, MI where he enjoyed living on the water. He was an avid boater who loved to fish and spend time entertaining family and friends on his boat - The Bobbin Genie. Bob, along with his wife Jeanne, loved to travel and were “snowbirds” who spent many winters in Punta Gorda, Florida, golfing and enjoying the sunshine. In his spare time, he enjoyed making model boats, watching golf and cheering on the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers. He was a lover of music, especially jazz and Frank Sinatra. Most importantly, he was a family man who truly loved spending time with his entire family.
Bob was known for his sense of humor, kindness and generosity. He had a way about him that made everyone feel like they were the most special person in the room. He was a beloved, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend, who will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Jeanne, 6 children - Dennis(Margaret) Feskorn, Kathy Carson, Carol (Gary) Radloff, Richard (Beth)Feskorn, Nancy (Chris) Albers, John (Samantha) Feskorn, 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, Margaret & Wilbert Feskorn, siblings - Wilbert (Bess) Feskorn, Charles (Nancy) Feskorn, Theresa (Harrison) Holtzmann, Shirley (Eugene) Flannigan, and son-in-law Mark Carson.
