James E. Yawney had a zest for life. Every day was a new adventure for him. He loved to talk to strangers and find out about their lives. He was a funny, silly guy who constantly made his family laugh. And, most especially, he loved his wife and children—his two daughters and four grandsons.
Jim, 77, died on February 13 from colon cancer. Nine years prior, he survived stage IV colon cancer; his doctors said it was a miracle. In those nine years, Jim saw his younger daughter marry, was there for the birth of his four grandsons, and had the opportunity to be with and know his grandchildren. So he knew the importance of time.
Jim would hope that donations given to St. Jude in his name might give a child that time and maybe even a cure.
Thank you for all your donations.
